The money was to be transferred on Thursday during the Ladli Behna function, which was hosted at the Chief Minister’s home in Bhopal. In anticipation of this, sisters from all around the state had been invited to the CM’s home. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav informed the Ladli Behnas that the ₹250 payment for the 1.26 crore sisters’ bank accounts would be deposited the next month. Additionally, he declared that starting in November, the current ₹1,250 amount would be raised to ₹1,500 and provided on a monthly basis.
Increased Monthly Payments from November
The Chief Minister declared that starting November, every beneficiary of Ladli Behna Yojana will receive ₹1500 per month. Along with this, the pending ₹250 from the previous installment will also be paid out in the 30th monthly installment during November.
So far, over ₹44,917.92 crores have been directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts under the scheme. This amount has benefited approximately 1.27 crore women across Madhya Pradesh, fulfilling the primary mission of empowering women to become economically independent and self-reliant.
