UCEED 2026 Registration Begins
There are only 245 seats for the Bachelor of Design course in all 7 IITs in the country. Candidates will only be allowed to get admission to these universities after qualifying for the UCEED 2026 entrance test. IIT Bombay is the responsible agency for conducting the examination and receiving application forms from candidates. The online portal for the admission has been started from the first of October onwards. It will allow candidates to get admission to India’s most reputed university and will help them to build their careers in the design sector.
Important Dates of the UCEED 2026
The application window is open from the first of October 2025 on the official website of IIT Bombay for the UCEED entrance test for 2026. The last date to submit the application form is 31st October 2025, and candidates can make the online payment before 5:00 p.m. on 7 November 2025 with late fees of 500 rupees. So if you do not want to pay additional charges to the authority, then you need to complete your application before the last date of 31st October 2025 before 5:00 p.m. After that, the department will verify details of the candidates and will organize the entrance test on 18th January 2026 on Sunday.
However, candidates will be allowed to download the admit card one week before the examination, from 12th January onwards. After that, the authority bill will declare the result on 6 March 2026 and will publish the scorecard for candidates between 10 March and 31 July 2026.

Who are Eligible for the UCEED 2026 examination
If you are willing to get admission to a bachelor of design course in IITs, then you need to check the following criteria to sit in the entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay:
- The applicant is required to complete the 12th class from any recognized board in 2025 or should complete the 12th class in 2026 to be eligible for this entrance test.
- Candidates who were born after the first of October 2001 are only eligible to apply for the entrance examination of UCEED 2026. However, candidates belonging to reserve categories will see age relaxation from 5 years to a maximum of 10 years according to their criteria.
- If you have appeared in the entrance examination for the academic year of 2024, then you are not able to apply for UCEED 2026 because the authority only allows candidates to sit in this entrance time twice in a lifetime for consecutive years. However, candidates who sit for the entrance in 2025 are able to apply for the program for the last time in 2026.
UCEED 2026 Online Registration Charges
The authority has scheduled registration charges of 4000 rupees per individual for the application form of the undergraduate common entrance examination for design—UCEED 2026. However, if you are a reserved category candidate and belong to these categories (SC, ST, or PwD candidates), then you need to pay Rs 2000 through online mode to the authority.
Apart from this, females from all the categories are also required to pay Rs 2000 in this application form.

- First of all, locate the official website of IIT Bombay on your browser or you can click on this link to visit directly on the website: https://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/2026/
- Now you will reach on the new page where you have to read all the important details available on the screen and click on the registration portal link
- It will ask you to create your registration using your Google account, or you can also generate the registration using your email ID
- After that you need to complete your details in the application section, including your name, educational details, contact information, document details, and pay the application fees accordingly
Once you complete your application payment, your registration will be successfully completed, and you will be able to download the soft copy of the PDF of your application form to your device.
